Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I ordered this board about two months ago. Due to it being very rainy here I only have about 4 weeks of actual use on the board. Keeping that in mind. I am 6'2" (188cm) 180lbs (81.5kg) size men's 13US (46 eur).
The exact board mentioned in details was NOT the one sent. I got a 48 inch board, bones red bearings(or something very similar), the big 76mm soft slalom shaped wheels. Onto the review!
DECK:
The wood is very nice if you like the natural look of wood, it has no staining of any type just a small layer of protective non-cosmetic coating. The deck it self has very little flex, no concave and the grip tape is poor, but for ~50 dollars it is absolutely better than anything I could make on my own if given that amount of money.Oh yeah and no wheelbite with these big wheels. That is probably thanks to the quarter inch risers they have on it and the cutouts at the bottom.
TRUCKS:
I see the brand CORE on them. I don't know brands that well but the seem pretty solid, nor do I know the angle. The bushings that it came with seem medium-soft, so maybe 84a-86a duro. They are squeaky but a little bit of soap (solid soap) in the pivot cup took care of that. I really like the trucks, I used my friends charger gullwings (felt the same).
WHEELS:
No brand of them, they are blank black wheels. Large and soft. So great for carving and cruising. I don't know what else to say about them... uh the bearings are good. Keep them dry and clean and they will spin... like bearings are supposed to.
Overall:
I rode a friend's sector 9 pintail and well, the flex felt the same it couldn't carve as hard (although I think his kingpin was super tight). The grip was much better and the concave made it feel like my feet were locked in. So, for three times the price (Moose ~$60 Sec9 ~$180) I don't think it is worth it. The moose board is great for me. I never go faster than maybe 20-30mph, but I will carve pretty hard. If you are brand new to longboarding, I would recommend this board every time to learn and advance on a bit.
My personal 'for its price' rating is a 5/5
As compared to other boards though ill give it a 3.5/5
PS loosen the kingpin out of the box or else you wont be able to turn.
Ill be happy to answer any questions!
