(More customer reviews)I purchased the SKS Longboard Fenders in the beige color as they fit my bike's color scheme. My tires are 700x42c and I worried that these fenders wouldn't cover the width, but they fit just fine. A word off warning- these fenders are super long and the front fender looks like it will scrape the ground- it doesn't, but I wouldn't take your bike off road with these fenders. Luckily, the mudflap at the end is very flexible. As for the installation, I thought they went on pretty easily, but then I ended up hitting some potholes and lost the attachment hardware off the ends. I emailed SKS and they immediately sent out replacement hardware, as well as some advice- If they are too easy to install, then I may not have been installing them correctly. Once I double checked the fender installation, they were right, you need to make sure that the fender stays and hardware are really tight and then the hardware will stay on just fine- do not rush your installation and make sure everything is tightened and adjusted, and then check your installation after you ride for a few days or a week to readjust. Now that I have reinstalled the fenders, they are solid and I don't fear losing the hardware. They look great, too. These are meant for a city type bike and commuting in the city, so don't buy these for a mountain bike. The coverage is excellent and they look fantastic. If you have wide tires on your city commuter, I would recommend these fenders, as long as you don't mind the super long length. These things will keep your back and feet dry from overspray on the tires. SKS customer service is great- they resolved the issue of hardware loss, and sent out free replacement hardware as well- I was surprised as I thought I might have to buy my own hardware from them.
